"LilFishAtL" Wins the Sunday Million for $141K

(pokernews.com) – One online poker tournament the majority of poker players would love to win is the PokerStars Sunday Million. Not only does doing so come with a huge cash prize, it’s also one of the most prestigious events in the online poker world.
Mexico-based “LilFishAtL” added his name to the long list of past Sunday Million winners this weekend, topping a star-studded field of 5,718 players to get his hand on $141,000. His haul could have been even larger, but he opted to make a deal when the tournament was three-handed. Joining “LilFishAtL” in the deal-making were Greece’s “1morepls,” who scooped $104,000, and the talentedGrayson “gray31” Ramage, who bust in second but not before grabbing the largest prize of the trio, a cool $156,406.39.

Romania’s “bica999” was another player banking a big score on Sunday night thanks to a win in theSunday Warm-Up, which was worth $75,050.
UK-based Spaniard “CrackedeI29” ensured a profitable Sunday by winning the Sunday 500 for $57,562.50, while Russia’s “RADOALSUOLO1” turned $215 into $45,161.18 by winning the hyper-turbo Sunday Supersonic.

  • Chris “Big Huni” Hunichenfinished third in the Sunday Kickoff for $16,182.00

  • Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitschefinished second in the Sunday 2nd Chance for $29,000.00

Fresh from his third-place finish in the PokerStars Sunday Kickoff for $16,182.00, Hunichen walked away with the $12,090 first-place prize in the Sunday Major over at Full Tilt, which is where Germany’s “Changor84” added $8,224.73 to his bankroll, helped by $550 of bounty payments, when he won the popular Sunday Brawl.
This weekend’s $150,000 Whale at 888poker saw 329 players exchange $600 for a shot at glory. Nobody enjoyed it more than the United Kingdom’s “Derharry69” who in the early hours of Monday morning had won all the 3,290,000 chips in play to secure a $35,968.74 payday.
Germany’s “bre3za” enjoyed a similar result in the $120,000 Mega Deep, walking away with the title of champion and $27,194.70 to show for his efforts. Shoutouts too to “peterpan_33.” and Russia’s“RevenantT” who won the $50,000 Turbo Mega Deep ($12,538.80) and the $100,000 Sunday Challenge ($15,465.93), the latter after a three-way chop.
Lastly, over to partypoker now where British pro Andy “ajh26” Holman took down the $150,000 guaranteed High Roller for a $28,520.80 score, and where “Rudebilly” won the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event for a cool $27,474.92. Finally, “Corlusion” banked $10,413,81 for winning the $50,000 guaranteed Weigh-in.
