(pokernews.com)- Day 4 of the 2015 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event — a tournament that attracted 313 entries and created a prize pool of €3,067,400 — saw 21 players return to the Spielbank Berlin to play down to the final table of six.
Kevin MacPhee, who started the day as the chip leader, used his big stack to maintain his position after 15 players took their leave. In fact, MacPhee was able to increase his stack five fold, and as a result take a huge chip lead into the final table. To put his 5.015 million in perspective, it’s more than 2:1 over his next closest competitor, Andrew Lichtenberger; nearly 5:1 over JC Alvarado, who sits in third place; and more than 10:1 over the other three players.
